Wife, me and six month old plus a beagle, the X1 is our primary car for family duty. I'm 6'2", but love small cars. I'm just waiting for him to turn two and not need the monster rear facing seat and will either get an M2 or BRZ and throw a turbo on it.
We may keep the X1 or get an S3 sedan, Macan or possibly a 4GC, but would have to wait for the LCI to see if they fix the steering and overall feel of the 3er chassis. Both the Macan and 4er are larger than what we'd both prefer.
People all over the world have multiple kids with a Golf, Polo or 1er. It's really only over here that folks seem to gravitate to a Suburban when the first kid shows up.
