You just said the A4s have a transverse engine. The Impreza doesn't.

The Impreza is not a "FWD-based car" like the others you mentioned are. The Impreza is set up for AWD, with a traditional RWD layout in fact, except in VERY limited numbers, a transmission without a center diff on the back of it is installed.

It's not a FWD based car as the term is used in the art. It's nothing like the other cars you mentioned. It's layout is completely different. It's layout is everything like, for example, a RWD BMW's.
