Just ordered my new X1. Being a UK based driver the main argument against doesn't really concern me as I drive a diesel by choice and therefore don't have to mourn the loss of the gorgeous 3.5i engine. So I'm now awaiting an MSport xDrive 20d auto with added satnav, H&K sound system and other nice extras. It is a big improvement over the previous model and for me the intelligent 4 wheel drive makes the car just as driveable as my current car. The look, driving position, equipment level and accommodation have all improved as you would expect and the extra space in the boot has saved me from moving on to an X3. The wait begins
