Agree more desirable but safer? It's the ultimate form over function, nothing is easier than a knob or wheel controls. ALT/CTRL/DEL actions to make simple changes are crazy.
Jumped in a friends Q5, jesus H, you have to click on radio, then scroll the little central knob over to station then cycle through the stations ... crazy.
