My first three BMWs had a 15000 service interval for oil and filter change. My 2013 X1 was set for 13000 miles. My 2015 X1 is set for 10000 miles. When I hit 700 miles, it dropped to 9000 miles. I guess BMW is figuring out that these new turbo engines need more frequent oil changes.

I wouldn't go more than 5k miles between changes on an engine with forced induction if you plan on keeping it past the warranty.
