It's the same reason we don't get the M135i; because hatches (no matter how many internet posts you see wanting them) do not sell very well here.

Someone posted E91 sales numbers over on the F30 boards a few months ago, they were less than 10% manual, which was surprising to me. Not surprisingly Cayenne GTS manual sales made up something like 3% of totals and I'm sure X3 and X5 totals were similar.
Years ago, my folks had a second generation Isuzu Trooper with a manual. That thing was great for what it was. My sister bought an automatic one and it was just as bad as the manual one was good.
