BMW does allow a retrofit of navigation on some of their older models. Unfortunately since the sharkfin antenna appeared on newer models they wont be offering the retrofits anymore because they would have to replace the roof or cut a hole into it... It would just be too much time, effort and the customer would never pay that much.
In my experience Patryk (You can find him on the forum or I can PM you his details) can help you with everything you need from parts (correct for your VIN) as well as all the programming online over the internet.
