I don't want automatic intervention, I wanted the six speed manual and a third pedal in the car. I'm just exploring what the transmission does. My GF's VW shifts all the way down to 1st in manual mode and she has the 2.5L turbo, which has OK power. This is my first auto car with fake manual mode and I was wondering why it did what it did (downshifting to M2, but not M1). I wonder if the eight speed in the i28 does the same thing.
