Whats Wrong - Whats Right.

I am finally getting new Rims and Non RF Tyres this week. Will be using Original for Spare in the back for the time being. We travel distances and are not prepared to stuff around crawling along freeways.
Twix-Don't throw that jug of piss to hard so us Aussies can catch it, Ha Ha.
After reading about Space Saver Spares my thoughts have been.
A) You can only drive no more than 80 Kph, not sure Mph.
B)It only lasts a certain amount of Km's-Ml's before they also have to be replaced. If that's the case how hard would it be to get S.S.Spare Tyre.

BeEmDoubleV- You have me thinking different now. Can you advise.
I guess your Mini Spare is also called a Space Saver Spare. You say is good for Thousands of Miles.
OK - So is it the same as a Normal Tyre only with a smaller width.
Would the maximum speed be the same.
It can be used over and over again and cover long distances to find a repair shop or get you home from any where when everything is closed.
Where would it be best placed on your car
