Sorry about the thread if its a repeated topic, but I need a quick response as my dad is about to buy an X1 today and I want him to get the best deal.

I mostly hang around the 3 series forum so I dont know much about this car, but I have a question about pricing.

I hear $500 over invoice is possible with other BMWs so I'm wondering if users here are also getting such a deal, or if that isnt as common with the X1. He's in a rush to buy, but I want to help him with pricing so I'd prefer to email local dealers and get a great price rather than settling for a bit below MSRP.

Also, as far as negotiating through the computer. Is is as simple as emailing configurations to various CAs at dealers, agreeing on a price through email, and then meeting that CA at the dealership; no further haggling from that CA at that point?
