For sure. We will get the LCI, and that's due in September(-ish).

Regarding the diesel I mentioned a few posts back, apparently BMW is readying a new 215hp diesel for the F20 1 series ("125d"). Currently, the most powerful four cylinder diesel BMW has is 200hp. I really hope that this same engine is the one they plan to use for the X1 in the US. It could mean uncompromised performance vs. the gasoline X1 28i. Too bad it will almost surely cost more than the 28i, however.

The other thing is that there's a rumor from a usually reliable source that the engine will be shared with the Mini Countryman in the US as well. That doesn't bode well, since it seems unlikely that from a marketing point of view, they would wan the most powerful Countryman to be diesel, not to mention the fact that it will then be as powerful, and likely faster than, its bigger brother (the X1). Of course, I suppose they could always detune by 20% or so for the Mini.
