Yes, i am so confused what could cause it.
But I am the only driver, and I didn't pry it for sure.
The car has been in the dealer only once for replacing a tire so far. I don't think they have touched this part as well.
The crack is at the place that it's very hard to discover from the driver side.
Would it be some kind of sun damage? Because I have two transparent suction cups on my windshield, would it be possible that the suction cups focus the sun light on the dashboard, and burn it?

BTW, the dash is not leather and the likely fix would be some type of minor blemish repair... no way they would replace the dash for that, unless you can prove it is a defect
