The X1 is perfect for people who like the typical SUV-style but don't want to drive a big, gaz-guzzling SUV. For example, my parents are driving 3 series for about 30 years. But for the next car they don't wanted to buy another sedan. They always liked the look of some SUVs, but X3 or X5 were too big and too expensive for them.
So they looked for a small SUV. If BMW wouldn't have the X1 in it's lineup the new car of my parents would be a Tiguan or a Kuga. But now they will buy a X1 and will stay customers of BMW.  |
Exactly, I think the X1 is a good fit in the NA market. It may replace my wife's older Highlander. She wants a smaller vehicle.
