Rain-X is good stuff. I've used it for many years. Be aware that it really only works when traveling at highway speeds (wind created by driving fast keeps the water off the windshield). Driving slowly around town, meh, Rain-X doesn't really help much (but wiper blade friction is definitely reduced if nothing else).
