Each one to his own I suppose. The interior is hugely configurable and can be bright or restrained or sporty etc etc. I like it as it has the look and feel somewhat of the original, albeit a lot more luxurious.
To get an idea of the size of the X1 have a look at a 3-series estate, they are almost identical except that the X1 is taller.
