This depends which version of the X1 you have. For the 35i, 135i brakes are a downgrade since we share calipers with the 335i.
For smaller displacement X1s, I believe that the BMW Performance brakes for the 1 series will fit. There is a blue X1 that has them installed in a picture thread here.
