No, I have the same Classic as you 80gb & where it it's very noticeable is let's say I go to the gas station for something quick. I cut the engine off & then like 5 minutes later I jump back in & then it won't play. Typically if all I do is go to work, let it sit in the parking lot all day until after work then go home it works flawlessly. It's those "short trips" for some reason, on & off again that it doesn't like.
