There's a lot more to it than just the value of each dollar. As well, in time the canadian prices will come down closer to those seen in the US as our dollar becomes more stable at this higher rate. It was only a few years ago (maybe 5 or 6) that our dollar was somewhere in the 0.60$ to 0.70$ range. So in short, yes we are miffed about this disparity despite the parity of our dollars, but as canadian consumers, we still have to remember that there is more than just the price of the dollar that is the deciding factor of pricing things.

One final note is that if these prices were directly tied in with the value of said currency as compared to the euro (assuming for german profit), then the prices of all the cars would change daily.
