I agree and I think this might suggest that they are going to price the X1 with a hefty premium. I really do think that the margins on this vehicle are just not very high especially when compared against the X3, and thus they would rather just sell us all X3s over here. After all, US prices are already very low when compared with the ROW. Making money on the X1, especially with it being produced over sees and subject to the typical currency flucutations, high shipping costs, etc. vs. the X3 being built here on our soil, may be a tough proposition. They know they need to offer the X1 so that they have a presence in the US in this segment (Q3 should be here soon and GLK has been for some time, not to mention RDX and EX). But they are holding off as long as they can, and even after it comes they'd still rather we all just buy those profit-laiden X3s instead.
