I imagine ECO PRO has far more of an impact on the 28i. For one thing, you have ASS, while we 35i owners only have HAUL ASS. And I believe on the 28i, ECO PRO also reduces acceleration, instead of just warning about it.
On the 35i, the button appears to function like the "rear fan off" found on other cars, plus a warning light that comes on if you accelerate, brake to a stop, or exceed 80 mph.
After driving like a bone china salesman for a couple of days, I got it up to +0.9 mls. So, not worth it, except to prevent blowing cold air on the dogs in the rear.

The picture in the manual is hilarious - ECO PRO extending the range +100 mls on one tank? I don't think so
(A good example of why engineering departments should always double-check what marketing does.)
