This certainly is a common issue with carbon-metallic (more a performance pad than typical street) pad. Anyhow sounds like somethings on the horizon, so I guess I'll just wait and get all three issues addressed in one day.
Yes, I strongly believe that this has to do with the type of brake pads that BMW chose. Brake pads have different ranges of operating temperatures. Normal pads meant for daily use will lose braking power if it is overheated (if you bring it on track). Racing or street pads can operate at higher temperatures, but does not perform well until it is warmed up and will really squeak when the pad is cold.

And with the winter temps, it just makes things worse.
