Using a cell phone for navigation is fine if you only go where you get reception. Otherwise get the Tom Tom. For a hundred bucks, you'll have a reliable navigation when you need it most. I like the BMW navigation myself, including the voice recognition. Having a good navigator is a safety issue from my perspective....I remember well the days of driving while reading road maps or hand written directions....not something that I want my family members doing.
