Taking off from a stand still in the sport mode, you can actually feel the 428i was quicker than a X1 28i or a 328i (I had 500 miles driving time in a '14 model). If you keep driving in sport mode, you might get pulled over pretty quick too in this car lol. The sport mode sounds addictive and always in the sweet spot, making the shift peddles being left pretty much unused. Comfort mode feels not much different with the other 28i's. I did notice in comfort mode, the 428i's stability control never activated when I drove hard. My X1's stability control kicks in way too early and often for spirited driving...I'd rather just leave the traction control on. But driving character wise, there is not enough difference to justify the $10K price gap. The look however, do seems to be worth it lol.
