I was talking about the base price. The X1 started at $37K while the 3 series AWD wagon started at $47K (CDN). I'm not sure if the 3 series wagon came loaded or not, but I'm fairly certain features were similar and didn't account for $10K difference.
I can't speak to the size comparison as I want looking at the wagon closely.
