Trust me, BMW leather truly is terrible, especially modern BMW leathers. It just doesn't last, and requires constant care and conditioning, particularly if it's your DD and you live in a dry climate. Just get the leatherette and never worry about it.

Anyone who says otherwise hasn't owned one past 80,000km. After a few years and some mileage, bolsters wear down to nearly paper thin, tons of cracks, etc. Unless maintained.
