I think you missed the point. We know about the free trim the tabs mod. However, some want the button with the spiffy graphics rather than a blank button. Rather than buying an all new switch one can buy a used switch for cheap that has the button with graphics. However, the if one uses the original switch electronics there is no back lighting. As such, one also needs to use the electronics from the used switch. So this more about spending $150 vs $30 or so to get the full function.
