I've had both, at different times. There's pros and cons.

The sensatek/leatherette didn't make me sweaty unless it was a crazy hot day, but the leather is certainly more breathable. The leatherette requires zero maintenance and will look like new years later; the leather will have sags and creases over time and obviously needs to be maintained.

There's no right answer, as it's obviously a matter of preference. Personally I find the leather more comfortable and I prefer it, despite its drawbacks. But it's not like I was unhappy with my previous car that had leatherette.
