New HID on non-xenon
I just installed a 6000K HID kit in place of the halogens. Much whiter and brighter (3200 lumens). No error message. Only problem is that there's no upper cut-off like the projection lights.
I noticed on the new 428i, they don't have projection lights. They use the same housing as for the halogen lights (multi-faceted mirrors), but with a built-in shield above the HID bulb to create an upper limit on the beam of light.
