On-board computer ? Sure you are not reading the real-time consumption ?
Try measuring it on your own, as someone wrote earlier : fill up your tank, write down the odometer reading, drive until next fuel-up, fill up again, write down the quantity of gas you just filled, and the odometer reading again.
Which will leave you with the exact distance covered (from the two odometer readings) and a matching gasoline amount.
To simplify, it should give you something like : 500 kms covered for 50 Liters burnt.
To determine the value for 100 kms : (50 x 100) : 500 = 10
In my oversimplified example, you get 10L/100 kms.
