melts - it was a dilemma for me as well when I ordered my car. My calculations now tell me that I would have covered the extra cost of the diesel in about 5 years or less. I'm beginning to think I should have got the diesel, and cut down on the options. Mandatory options for me were Auto and Panorama roof.
I'll be getting my car anyday now, so will check my consumption for a month or so. If it's excessive I'll have to consider a trade-in for a used diesel. But I do about 60% highway and 40% city, and can improve it if I get up a bit earlier in the mornings to avoid traffic
