The X1 xDrive 28i is actually
275 lb lighter than the xDrive 528i, which is probably why it despite a higher drag coefficient has a specified fuel consumption of 22/33 mpg city/hwy compared to the 22/
32 for the 528i.
That said, you can also load the X1 with far more weight, causing it to become more inefficient.
