Great thread, thanks for all the info. I also have the necessity for a rear facing car seat.
If I purchase an X1, I will need to fit, at the very least, a fold up stroller and a large baby bag in the cargo area. Have not yet seen the real deal, but its looking very much like cargo space is about the same as in my e90. (minus the height advantage)
