Thanks guys, I agree with your comment. Hardwiring is definitely a better option. Will keep trying to convince my partner haha.
I installed a dashcam on my F30 using "add a fuse" yesterday. It was pretty simple as the fusebox is pretty easy to access in the boot. Whilst in the X1, the Fusebox behind the glove seems a little harder to access. Will have a proper look at it next weekend.
Which fuse did you guys tap into for hardwiring? Can you guys upload a picture of the fusebox?
