I'm not too worried of being stranded on the road, but being stranded in a tire shop, waiting for the proper rubber to show up. With a full spare, you can just slap on the spare, and continue on your road trip. With the tiny spare, RFT, or repair kit, you get to drive to the closest shop and buy a new tire. I guess if I'm not too far from any major city, I should be safe.
