The only problem I have is the traction control often killing the acceleration if going from low speed to high speed (i.e. passing, or the $*@% Honda finally turning off on a side road). Which is downright dangerous, and why I turn off TC the first thing except during winter. And that's a problem 28i drivers doesn't seem to have.

That would imply that you're losing traction, if the TC kills the boost/timing/whatever. I always just leave it in "D", and I don't even think I have shifter paddles. It's more of a physical gap in the throttle mapping, just off idle.
