Huh? No such lag with my 35i - apart from your post, all the complaints have been from 28i owners. If you idle at below 1k rpm, there's a slight delay of a fraction of a second, but nothing like what the 28i drivers experience. And if you heel-toe or use both feet, that's not a problem either.
The only problem I have is the traction control often killing the acceleration if going from low speed to high speed (i.e. passing, or the $*@% Honda finally turning off on a side road). Which is downright dangerous, and why I turn off TC the first thing except during winter. And that's a problem 28i drivers doesn't seem to have.
