Hi Hadron, I'm in SA, and I'm also speccing up an X1 sDrive 1.8i Auto to purchase. Like you I'd also like the 2.0d (1.8d not available here) but can't afford it - it's the equivalent of 4200 Euros more -

I would do a mixture of 70/30 highway/urban driving to work everyday. Has your fuel consumption settled yet? Also, I live at altitude, not at sea-level which does not bode too well.

My main specs are:

Mineral White, Beige sensatec, xLine
Bluetooth, USB
Panorama sunroof, Towbar.

Oh, here on the sDrive 1.8i Climate Control is optional

Manual Aircon for me! Not paying another 600 Euros for it, as my total purchasing budget is about 42,000 Euros (base price without options is around 36,800 Euros. This would be before a dealer discount - will be shopping around.
