I've used a JB4 on the X1 for a few years, so I'm now running one of the free BMS back-end flashes (the "pump bef") with the JB4. Definitely much smoother power delivery. Not sure if its any faster, though. I've not encountered the low throttle issues others are reporting with the MHD off the shelf maps.

I just did the BEF for JB4 a few days ago, ran it for 2.5 years without. It is
so much smoother, I didn't expect it.
