I kept my stock 18's for winter and slapped a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks in the factory 225/45 18. They work just fine.
As for a staggered set up for summer, there is no real performance advantage as the xdrive cars have plenty of grip and the sdrive doesn't make enough power to get crazy wheel spin either. It does however, look badass.
I have a staggered set on order, 19x8.5f 19x10r.
