I have found that those with an M car, unless they are well trained drivers, have great roads and track their car often are more "wannabe" drivers that will never push their car to its limits...
I would venture that most people, unless at a track or closed course, never get to experience the true performance of their "performance cars."
Truth be told, they want to say they have the performance capabilities, but don't fully utilize them. They will not risk their $80-90K cars to the performance risk...
This is why I like my X1 3.5i Msport... I know I will never really push it to its full capabilities, but I can get close.for a lot less. To really drive and appreciate an M car, best to get a E46 or E90 with a few scrapes of paint and a few rough edges here and there and truly drive the car like you stole it. They you will get a better feel for the performance capabilities
