Breaking in an engine is not about speed but engine rotations per minute !
Although all modern engines are broken in before being installed, avoid the red zone, and try to switch gears below 1800 RPM for the first 2500 kms.
Also watch the oil level, as a brand new engine might tend to be thirsty in that department;
