I am still new, but my first tank saw 21 mpg mixed driving (30% city/70% highway). According to eco pro it got + 16 mls. Not a lot, but still almost a gallon of gas just for hitting a button while on the highway with cruise control on. Not huge, but at least it actually does affect the driveline to save gas.
I agree though, probably useless and annoying just about anywhere else.
