I've always felt compelled to bring my vehicle to the dealership I bought it from for service while still under warranty, for convenience more than anything else. I've owned three Acuras from 2000 to 2010 and the dealership treated me like a VIP; loaners without question, speedy service, donuts, etc.. My BMW experience at the aforementioned dealership was the polar opposite.
If it's any consolation I should mention that my service experience at the local Ford dealership (where I bought my truck) is probably even worse - but not by much.
