Comes standard into the car(m-sport package), but you pay a premium for leather interior which is more convenient(?) to clean then alcantara....
If you do want alcantara get the Performance steering wheel(option for 1-series) too!
I think they didn't lie about the shifting paddes, just a mistake with Beamerboi's order by a representative...
