Oddly, 95% of the time, mine is just fine. The other 5%, and there is no predicting when this will happen, there is a noticeable lag and 'flat spot' before the engine and transmission get things moving.
It may be worse when the engine isn't fully warmed up (with no gauge it's tough to tell when things are fully warm...).
I tried the procedure, with no mechanical noise. I may try it again when time permits.
Concur that putting it in 'SD' lessens or eliminates the problem; when I'm running in really cutthroat traffic, I'll use SD.
