Recall on X1 - Emission Module Problem
Hi All,
Just got an recall letter from BMW today.
This has to do with the "Program Transmission Control Unit"
Campaign Number: ECR-B0001-11-002
The problem stated in there saids:
- The software release for the transmission control unit (TCU) contains error. If a fault in the transmission would occur, the TCU cannot illuminate the engine light, this is required per federal emission regulations.
BMW has offer to retrofit or update the TRU for Free of Charge.
This would applied to Canadian Spec X1 2.8i Xdrive.
