I don't see how this was the all new 2016 X1. It doesn't hit showrooms until the Fall...there have been NO deliveries in the US of the 2016 X1.
The new X1 is entirely new. Everything! Clearly you were driving the 2015 X1.
And the 2016 X1 will have everything you mentioned (if I remember correctly):
"lane departure warning, adaptive cruise, HID, HUD, adaptive lightning, collision avoidance, fantastic sound system, smart phone integration, heated everything, and much much more."
