I was commenting on the difference between the 1.8 petrol and the 2.0 diesel in Oz. Big difference in performance between the two engines. All engines in the UK are 2 litre diesels with different outputs to make up the 1.8/2.0/2.3 range. I have driven all variants here in the UK and to be fair the difference between the 1.8d and the 2.0d is not huge but then the price difference is not that great either. A fair jump in performance and even bigger in price up to the 2.3d though.
In my opinion the best buy here is the SDrive 2.0d. I just need the 4x4 bit occasionally so I have opted for the XDrive 2.0d.
PS: By "here" I mean in the UK.
