This question made me think for a minute. I don't think we'd get another one, but it has nothing to do with the car... I would just try something else out.
However, if the question were "If you could go back and do it again, would you still buy your X1?" My answer would be yes- with more options. For one thing, we got what was available... that day... because we had a road trip to go on and didn't want to rent a car. We should have. We would've added lighting package and premium package to sport/tech/heated seats that we got. I might even have bought an all wheel drive model if the numbers worked... The RWD one is noticeably lighter and more fun to drive, and mpg are great for what it is, and AWD owners seem disappointed in the mpg factor, so I guess your mileage may vary.
I think our next ride will be the 2016/2017 diesel X3, and probably a lease instead of purchasing again. I'm realizing I should lease and not buy.
