I just wanted to add that the 1 Series F20 had a N13 engine installed. This is the smaller brother of the N20. Both engines share the same technology but they vary in size. The N20 has 2l and the N13 has 1.6l.
So consumption wise the N20 might be 1-2l above the N13 because of the bigger size. The feeling of torque etc. is the same, 'cause I also had driven a N20 fitted X1 but only a few km's so I can't tell anything on the n20 consuption in the x1
